What is Psychopomp?

Psychopomp is written from the perspective of an occult researcher in the year 1927. In the wake of the Great War our nameless author searched the globe for every manner of contacting the dead. By luck or cruel fate, he found something far more striking.
On a dark evening in late March this researcher managed to create a portal to…somewhere else. Another Dimension? A physical manifestation of the Akashic Record? Hell? The researcher was bound and determined to find out. One thing was immediately evident, this was not a place for mankind.
All the beings he has seen and hastily sketched in his field journals while sheltering behind rocks or the debris of buildings. All actions they take, and the reasons for them, are speculation at best. The researcher acknowledges that he is attempting to put human logic and human motivations to beings that are not human. All the names, all the factions, what the fight for and what they do with the spoils, are truth and lies at the same time. However, what is most definitely true, is if beings on this “Eternal Plane” were to ever discover the researcher… well his fate, and the fate of all humanity may be sealed.
